Taman Ayun

Taman Ayun means beautiful garden, located in the village of Mengwi, 18km west of Denpasar, is indeed one of Bali's most picturesque temples. This building was built in the 11th century and most of the pilgrims have 11 tiers. The King of Mengwi, I Gusti Agung Anom, built its stately proportioned courtyards and large surrounding moat in the year 1634. Containing both the Royal family ancestral shrines and the storied MERU Shrines to the major deities, Taman Ayun became the main temple for the ancient kingdom of Mengwi.

Candi Kuning

Located on the western side of the Bratan Lake, Candi Kuning is the local fruit market selling wild orchids, flowers and tropical food crops grown in the region. The farms here provide a constant supply of flowers for Balinese offerings and to hotels as well as vegetables and fruits for the local restaurants.

Lake Beratan

The Balinese worship the goddess of the lake, Dewi Danu located at Pura Ulun Danu Bratan. The lake is an essential water source for surrounding farmlands and rice fields in the southwest and northwest parts of the island. Today, the gracefull 11-tiered meru (pagoda), which one stood on a small islet and accessible only by canoe now can be reached by foot.

Pacung

Stop point on your trip to admire the vantage views of the beautiful rice terraces. Your lunch is served here.

Alas Kedaton

A small forest with Pura Bukit Sari temple in it, here you can see hundreds of monkeys living in their natural habitat along with hundreds of fruit bats living by the tree, hanging and singing with their squeaking voice.

Tanah Lot

Tanah Lot temple also known as "Temple of the land in the Sea" is a picturesque temple on top of a rocky islet just offshore with its shrines and tufts of foliage spilling over the cliffs.
